Garrymona Cattery

Garrymona Cattery where we understand that’ Ancient Egyptians worshiped cats…and cats have not forgotten this’.

At Garrymona Cattery in Co. Offaly we care for your cats while you take a well earned break, be that an overnight or several weeks.  The cattery was built into a small Thatched cottage in 2007. The cattery boasts under floor heating and is built to the Feline Advisory Board specifications.

The cattery is situated near the Village of Walsh Island in a rural location. The peace and quiet provides a haven for cats with some views of the Slieve Bloom Mountains.  We are only 12 minutes from Portarlington and 15 minutes from Tullamore.

We provide all the bedding and food –Royal Canin as standard.  Special diets and medication are by arrangement. But we welcome you supplying a favourite blanket, bed or toy for your cat.  Each cat is kept in a single pen, but we can cater for families of cats, older cats and cats with special needs.

We require your cat to be up-to-date on the vaccinations and we do prefer cats to be neutered.

We do ask that when you travel that you keep your cat safe in a cat carrier.

The cattery is run by Roisin Barry and her husband; they live on site with company of three tom cats and four Newfoundland dogs who supervise the running of the cattery.

We welcome inspection during our opening hours by appointment.
